Sunny Malton's Career:

Before deciding to pursue a career in music, he worked for the retailer Canadian Tyre. He made his debut in 2008 with the rap song Get Em. He released a few rap songs in the years that followed, including BMF Freestyle (2010), Sky Scrapper (2014), and Ted DiBiase (2016). Malton has a tight relationship with the composer and music director Byg Bird of the Punjab. Malton released a freestyle diss track titled 'Jus Remain Humble Do' in 2016 in collaboration with Big Bird. The track, recorded by J Cole to the beat of the song Fire Squad, features Punjabi rapper Fateh, comedian Jus Shasan, YouTuber Lilly Singh (known by the pseudonym Superwoman), and Humble the Poet (aka Kanwar Singh).

For rapping on the popular song "So High" by Sidhu Moose Wala and Byg Bird, which marked the apex of Moose Wala's musical career, Sunny Malton gained notoriety in August 2017. The iconic catchphrase "Imma Imma Brown Boy" in the song catapulted Malton to stardom. Malton was also featured in the music video for So High, which was shot in Toronto. Thereafter, he came to be known as Moose Wala's right hand. He rose to prominence with the song Issa Jatt (2017) in collaboration with Sidhu Moose Wala.

In 2020, Byg Bird and Sunny Malton parted ways with Moosewala over leaked tracks and unpaid invoices, after three years of successful collaboration. In 2021, Sunny Malton and Rajveer Gakhal launched their record label TPM Records. Malton and Moosewala have settled their feud and are back together in 2021.

Malton and Moosewala made their comeback in 2022 with the song Youngest in Charge. The Malton chartbuster song Levels (2022) with Moose Wala charted at number 32 on the Canadian Hot 100 Music list. He sang the crowd-pleaser song Never Fold in Moosewala's extended release No Name in 2022.  That same year, he released the extended play It's Always Sunny in California. On 1 November 2022, after Moose Wala's death, Malton released the song Letter to Sidhu to pay tribute to him.
