Vedaant Madhavan started his career as a swimmer in school, he was very fond of swimming since childhood, he started participating in swimming competition in his school. He attended Mumbai's Goregaon Sports Club to study swimming from experts as his passion in swimming began to grow. There, he raced against other swimmers at the national level, including Kapil Shetty. In 2017, he joined Glenmark Aquatic Foundation, Mumbai, for his further training in swimming. 

Later, to train for swimming contests, he attended a 30-day programme in Bengaluru. Thereafter she participated in various swimming competitions like 3rd SFI All India National Club Championship (2018), 64th National School Games (2018), Glenmark 36th Sub Junior & 46th Junior National Aquatic Championships (2019), 10th Asian Age Group Championships (2019) Started taking ), and Khelo India Youth Games (2020).

In swimming contests, he has garnered several medals and prizes. In 2021, he won seven medals in the 47th Junior National Aquatic Championships 2021 in Bengaluru, out of which 4 were silver and 3 were bronze.
