Aditi Shankar made her debut as a playback singer with the song "Romeo and Juliet" from the Telugu film Ghani. She started her career In 2021, film director M. Muthiah offered her to play the heroine role in the masala film Viruman. Outlook India stated that "Karthi-Aditi Shankar win your hearts with a gripping family entertainer" in reference to the movie in which she sung the song Madura Veeran. "Aditi Shankar is definitely an upgrade from Muthiah's previous films," The Hindu stated.
