Marzi Pestonji loved dancing since childhood, so he joined the dance academy of famous Bollywood choreographer 'Shiamak Davar' during his school days. The name of his dance academy was "Shiamak Davar's Dance Academy", after which he was associated with that dance academy for 20 years and started his career from there. 

Marzi started his career mainly as a dance assistant, he used to accompany Shiamak Davar to teach dance in Bollywood films, he also used to teach a little bit of dance as an assistant. After which Marzi became a member of Shiamak Davar's dance team, after that Marzi Pestonji made his debut in the TV show "Dance India Dance Doubles" with choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Rajeev Surti.
